Where are the products made?All of our products are designed and assembled at our headquarters in North Hollywood. We source most of our components from USA manufacturers.

Are the products expensive?In many applications the laser/fiber optic solution is similar in price to LED.

Do I need to be trained to use the laser unit?Yes. Safety training can be done in person or virtually but, training is required.

Do you have demo units we can try out?Yes. Please contact us and we will be happy to set up a demo, no charge.

Can I rent or lease the units?Yes, please contact Jagoteq for rental and lease requests.

Is anyone else offering a similar product?No, we are the first and only company combining laser and fiber optic technology for lighting applications.

Who else sells lasers that illuminate fiber optic cable?No one, Jagoteq is unique in its patented laser lighting system.

Do you have built-in FX or colors?We will have built-in colors in 2025. We will be adding in FX and color loops which will be available through the UI.

Are there preset colors and FX?Yes, FX are the same as any standard LED based fixture, Color options can be found in the menu options with presets such as 4000-degree kelvin.

Can I create my own colors?You can save user created color combinations in Presets and name them accordingly.

Can I get white light from the laser?By mixing RG&B you can get white light. X/Y coordinates can be matched based upon the type of fiber selected.

What can I use to rig the fiber optic cable?You can use anything that does not pinch the cable as this causes light loss and can damage the cable.

Can I control the lasers with Ethernet?Yes, ethernet protocols such as Artnet and sACN are available.

Can I control the lasers with DMX?Yes, standard 5 pin.

How channels of DMX are needed to control one unit?4 channels, R,G,B, I (for intensity)

What is the CRI of your lasers?Laser light is not measured in CRI. The light spectrum of lasers is similar to neon being very saturated with narrow color bands across red, green and blue.

How many fibers can be used with the laser engine?At this time only 1 fiber per laser engine. Some types of fiber configurations allow for many strands of fiber from one port to be used in creative ways. But still only one laser port per laser engine.

Does the fiber produce any heat or carry electricity?The fiber does not heat up nor does it have any electricity running through it, just light.

Does the light from the lasers flicker?No, there’s no flicker with lasers at any frame rate.

Are the lasers safe to use?Yes, Jagoteq products are FDA and ETL certified as safe when you follow the instructions. The laser light is emitted through the fiber optic cable and not dangerous to your vision. No variances required.

Is the fiber optic cable waterproof?Yes, all fiber optic cable is 100% waterproof

Are the lasers loud?No, the fan noise is minimal and can be lowered through the user interface.
